Wales winger David Brooks has been warned about making a premature move away from Bournemouth by Darren Anderton, who reckons he should continue his education on the south coast. The 21-year-old only arrived at Bournemouth from Sheffield United last summer, but took the step up from the Championship to the Premier League in his stride. Brooks scored seven goals and had five assists in 29 starts for Eddie Howe’s men – leading to speculation that he could be a serious target for bigger fish in the top flight. Tottenham are now said to be lining up a deal for both him and team-mate Callum Wilson this summer but Anderton, who finished his career with the Cherries after 12 years at Spurs, says there is no reason for him to leave the Vitality Stadium just yet. “Possibly but I think there is no reason for him to move on now,” Anderton revealed. “Bournemouth is the perfect club for him.” Anderton is not surprised the top clubs are looking at Brooks, who should be involved in Wales’ Euro 2020 qualifier against Croatia on Saturday. “He is different class,” he added. “He has real quality.
